Superstar Amitabh Bachchan Takes Break from Film Shoot After Sustaining Injury on 'Project K' Set"

Amitabh Bachchan, a superstar, suffered an injury while filming his upcoming movie, "Project K," in Hyderabad. On his blog, the actor posted a health update. He travelled to Mumbai, where he is taking a break at his house, after seeing a doctor and getting a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. During a movie action scene, the 80-year-old sustained a muscle tear to his right rib cage. 

He said that the film shoot was delayed as a result of the event. I was injured while filming Project K in Hyderabad. During an action scene, my rib cartilage burst and tore a muscle in my right rib cage. I cancelled the shoot, saw a doctor, underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad, and then was flown home.

Amitabh Bachchan is a legendary Indian film actor who has worked in over 200 Bollywood movies. He has been in the film industry for more than five decades and is known for his dynamic and powerful performances on the big screen. 

In the past, Amitabh Bachchan has suffered several injuries during his film shoots. In 1982, he was seriously injured while filming a fight scene for the movie "Coolie." He suffered a ruptured spleen and underwent multiple surgeries to recover.

In 1983, he suffered a near-fatal injury while filming a fight scene for the movie "Mahaan." He was hit on the abdomen and suffered internal bleeding.

In 1984, he suffered another injury while filming a fight scene for the movie "Sharaabi." He injured his rib and had to take a break from shooting for a few weeks.

In recent years, Amitabh Bachchan has been in good health and has not reported any major injuries during his film shoots.

Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a famous Hindi poet, and his mother, Teji Bachchan, was a social activist. Bachchan attended Sherwood College in Nainital and later studied at Kirori Mal College in Delhi.

He started his career in the film industry in the late 1960s and quickly rose to become one of the most popular and successful actors in Bollywood. He is known for his roles in movies such as "Zanjeer," "Deewar," "Sholay," "Amar Akbar Anthony," and "Kabhi Kabhie."

Apart from acting, Amitabh Bachchan has also worked as a playback singer, television host, and film producer. He has won several awards and accolades throughout his career, including the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan, which are among India's highest civilian honors.

Bachchan is also known for his philanthropic work and has been associated with several charitable causes, including the United Nations' Global Goals campaign, the Polio Eradication Campaign, and the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' or Clean India Mission.
